This is a simple example that demonstrates how to use com3d code. The example has two areas with different gas conditions. One area is quite big and has stoichiometric mixture in normal conditions. The other area is designated to be the place where ignition starts. The test.geom file describes two obstacles one in X and the other in Z directions. (See the User Guide for information on how to create and modify the obstacles files.) To perform the calculations please follow the very simple procedure described below. 1. Prepare data file com00000.nc for the first step. Run the command: comfile -k test.geom It will ask you some question (see User's Guide for details). To simplify the process of answering the questions we provide the test.ini file. It contains all the answer in correct order. You can simply pass content of this file as input for the comfile i.e. comfile -k test.geom < test.ini We have provided the com00000.nc file for you. So you have an ability to skip this step and immediately go to the step 2. 2. Start the calculation. In case if you have three processors you can start it with the command: mpirun -np 3 com -s com000000.nc 3. While the calculation runs start the vizir application with command: vizir 4. Connect vizir with the calculation. (see User Guide) 5. From Vizir: Select KYLCOM combustion method from Vizir's menu. Select 100000 steps and pres play button. Press the "show" button Watch evolution of the calculation model by selecting "continuous play".
